The existing DX aircooled units were corroded, leaking condensation from the drain trays down the front of the building as well as units beginning to fail mechanically. The existing units were decommissioned with new water cooled package units being installed in the roof space with condensate piping back to risers to a cooling tower situated on the roof. The existing ductwork was able to be re-used due to exact positioning of the new units and separation of the offices from one main unit to multiple units. This allowed for a cheaper solution for the client while not affecting performance. The clients reported that the airconditioning now worked better than ever before.

As a national company with multiple stores in other states General Pants opening their first store in Perth, wanted to keep in line with the store fitout concept yet have a system that worked efficiently. The existing unit was of adequate size yet was poorly designed. The unit required relocating and new correctly sized ducting installed. Keeping in line with the fitout design 30 metres of insulated spiral duct with wall registers was installed. The fitout had a very tight time frame for completion and the mechanical services was required to be completed before other services began.Through thorough project managment and liason with contractors and other trades the job was completed before schedule.

The ICP lab had newly installed refrigerated airconditioning in its new facilities in Canningvale. The ICP machines were exhausting air and required make up air. To ensure that the make up air entering the room was not going to affect the performance of the refrigerated airconditioners a indirect evaporative cooler was chosen to supply the make up air due to its ability to deliver chilled (down to 15 degrees C) 100% outside air with no additional humidity. After this initial installation the companies under the Bureau Veritas banner plan to utilise it on other makeup air systems due to the projects success.
